Tuesday, April 7:
Parent Meeting, 3:30-4:00: Information about Dance Company will be available for parents at that meeting, and Coach Amy Vidmar will answer questions parents may have.
Dance Technique Clinics, 4:00-5:00: a warm-up and technique class will be taught so students will know what is expected during tryouts.
Wednesday, April 8:
Parent Meeting, 3:30-4:00: Information about Dance Company will be available for parents at that meeting, and Coach Amy Vidmar will answer questions parents may have. It will have the same information as the meeting on April 7.
*This meeting will happen at the school in the library*
Friday, April 10:
Dance Choreography Clinic, 1:20-3:30: Students will learn a short piece of choreography that will later be performed. We will also briefly go over technique. Attendance to this is mandatory, however if a student cannot make this practice, they are required to bring 64 counts of choreography to perform for the judges when they tryout for Dance Company.
Tuesday, April 14:
Dance Technique and Choreography Clinics, 3:30-5:00: technique and choreography will be gone over and questions from students will be answered about technique and choreography.
Wednesday, April 15:
See April 14th, 3:30-5:00. If the student would like to attend on both the 14th and 15th they may, but it is not required since both classes will be the same.
*Note* We ask that you bring your contact information sheet, mid-term grades and your picture by the 14th or 15th and turn them into the coach.
Friday, April 17:
Official Tryouts, 1:20-3:30: students are asked to wear all black and will have numbers assigned to them. No socks are allowed for the tryout so students do not slip and fall but dance shoes are allowed. We ask that the judging fee be turned in on this day in an envelope with the student’s name written on the front. Students will be informed that afternoon if they make the 2015-2016 Dance Company. Results will also be posted here, on the Dance Company Website.
*Please be aware that Excel Dance Studios is not liable for any injury that happens on its premises. Please make arrangements to pick up your students at the correct time because they will be turned over to your care after clinics are over.*
